The U.S. is still in the middle of one of the worst recessions in the history of America that was fueled primarily by a huge bubble in real estate investing, but for other reasons also.

The fact of the matter remains that prices on many real estate investments are dropping dramatically because of the recession which means that it may be time to start looking to get back into the real estate game.

A short sale helps homeowners avoid foreclosure and the heavy financial and credit penalties that accompany the foreclosure process and it makes for a solid long term solution.

Perhaps you have spent a few sleepless nights worrying about what could happen if the bank forecloses on your home.

Some experts think that home prices have hit bottom now while others are forecasting that the bottom won’t truly been seen until at least the second quarter of 2010.

The investor needs to determine exactly how much of his investment is going into real estate and how much is being eaten by fees.

If you take a fundamental approach to real estate rehabbing and flipping, your risk is limited and your profits are virtually limitless and it really is the best of all worlds.
